You always hear people ask, "So what is the best way to get in shape?" This is my response. Workout as efficiently as possible, accept fitness and make it a part of your everyday life. It's all about balance.
One must push themselves passed the threshold that the body is used to. Which isn't always the easiest thing to do, I would know.
In 2009, while playing Division A football, I endured the most serious injury in my career and it changed my life forever. I was told I had a 20% chance to walk again, but wasn't going to let adversity stand in my way. Having a health degree specializing in physical therapy and kinesiology, I took matters in my own hands and trained my self back to walking and having full range of motion in my knee in less than one year.
The reason the recovery was so successful came down to three things. Believing I was going to achieve my goal, was consistent with my training regimen, and was diligent about proper technique and form. Which is what I tell my clients.
Benjamin has been in the industry for 8 years. He holds a NASM CPT, and specialized certifications in Corrective Exercise, Performance Exercise, Fitness Nutrition (NASM FNS and Precision Nutrition). He is also a Crossfit Level 1 trainer.
As a Personal Trainer, Benjamin strives to understand his client's fitness goals and their problems, and to teach them the knowledge and exercises required to reach their goals. He is able to design a customized workout program and nutrition plan depending on their body type and goals.
